Ingvild’s journey to ECOnnect began with a spontaneous discovery.
"It simply popped up, and I found it intriguing. Throughout the interview process, I became more and more interested, and it seemed increasingly exciting," she shares. Transitioning from a larger corporation to a smaller, fast-moving company, Ingvild was drawn to the opportunity to make a tangible impact. "It’s exciting to be part of a company at this stage—where you can really influence and shape its direction."
A Career Shift with People at the Center
Before joining ECOnnect, Ingvild spent five years at DNV, specializing in computational analysis, onboard measurement campaigns, and classification work related to noise and vibration in maritime environments. Her academic foundation in marine hydrodynamics from NTNU, combined with international experience in Hamburg, Bath, and South Korea, has equipped her with a global perspective on engineering challenges.
Despite her technical expertise, Ingvild describes herself as a "talker" at heart. "I find it rewarding to meet people, engage in discussions, and truly listen to their challenges. This role is a big shift for me, but I believe my ability to connect with people and understand their needs will be a great asset."
An Active Lifestyle Beyond Work
Outside the office, Ingvild is always on the move—whether running, cycling, or skiing. She regularly participates in competitions and is even considering signing up for the Birkebeiner race. "I train mainly because it’s fun, but I do enjoy testing my limits in competitions as well," she says.
In addition to her passion for sports, she loves exploring new restaurants and traveling the world, embracing new cultures and experiences along the way.
Looking Ahead
We are thrilled to have Ingvild on board and look forward to seeing her contribute to ECOnnect’s mission of delivering innovative energy solutions. Welcome, Ingvild!
