Onshore LNG Terminal

By far the most common terminal configuration. Comprises berthing facilities, onshore storage tanks, regasification and gas distribution into the domestic network.
Typically has higher CAPEX when compared to offshore marine terminals.
The IQuay can accommodate large and small-scale LNG import and export.
The same floating transfer philosophy can be applied to the import, export and storage of hydrogen, ammonia, CO2 and other fluids.

Floating Storage Unit (FSU)

Often the most economical of terminal configurations for small-scale LNG applications. Idle LNGCs can be converted to FSU’s, thus investment costs are lower.
Good solution for sites with limited real estate and ideal solution for partial loading of shuttle tankers offshore.
LNG is transferred from the FSU back to shore via the IQuay’s floating cryogenic hoses.
FSU has excellent fast-track synergies with the IQuay for both LNG import and export.

Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU)

LNG is regasified topside and High Pressure gas is sent directly into the pipeline.
An FSRU is a good flexible option when the distance from shore is too great or the marine environment is too hostile, provided there is sufficient gas pipeline availability.
Most FSRU’s are moored at shore.
Offer less flexibility than Onshore terminals which can deliver import and export services.
ECOnnect’s solution for transfer of high pressure gas eliminates fixed infrastructure and is a cheaper alternative should FSRU be re-deployed.
