In today’s uncertain world one thing should be constant – the un-abridgement of fundamental human rights for all persons. At ECOnnect Energy we recognise our role in actively contributing to positive human rights outcomes.
At the heart of our business strategy is the vision of building equitable access to clean energy. To achieve this end, we have established comprehensive policies addressing human rights that outlines our commitment to respecting and promoting human rights in all aspects of our business operations.
These policies are regularly reviewed and updated by our Board of Directors and Executive Team to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with international standards such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Bill of Human Rights, and the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, among others. Additionally, we provide training and awareness programs to our employees to ensure they understand their responsibilities in upholding human rights principles.
Our Code of Business Conduct embodies our commitment to integrity and openness while embedding human rights, fighting corruption and protecting and preserving the planet.
Furthermore we take steps to identify and address any adverse impacts which we may cause or contribute to through our own activities or which may be directly linked to our operations, services or by our business relationships. We manage these risks by integrating the results of our due diligence into our policies and internal systems.
This commitment to understanding our impact is a cornerstone of ECOnnect Energy's values and ethics, reflecting our dedication to creating a positive impact on society and the environment.
